In-parks quests were also offered, rewarding players for following clues around the real-life parks to answer trivia questions. VMK was closed by Disney on May 21, 2008. The game was launched as a promotion commemorating Disneyland's 50th anniversary, and despite no long-term intentions, it gained popularity and eventually became a long-term venture on its own. Virtual Magic Kingdom, or VMK for short, was a massively multiplayer online game based on Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park and Disneyland in California. ![]()
